Eskimos
We saw the Eskimos at 3:58pm two minutes before we had to leave. The building we were in was the Field Museum. Something I saw was the clothing. Something I learned was that they have to wear fur to keep warm. Something I found cool was that they have to hunt to get their fur they also have to skin the animals for the fur. Juanita said that are really cool. This exhibit does not really remind me of anything in New Glarus.

Evolving Planet
I am doing a little report on the exhibit that we saw called the Evolving Planet. We saw the exhibit at 2:45 and we saw it in the Field Museum. We saw the earth turning around in circles. We learned that we are related to apes. The things we saw went back millions and billions of years ago. The first fish on Earth didn’t even have jaws. We saw a big T.V and it was showing the bottom of the ocean. Kailey said, “that the big T.V was really cool!!” It doesn’t really remind me of anything I saw or know of in New Glarus.

Northern Birds
At the field museum we saw the birds of the north. We saw allot of birds like Eagles,Hawks,Pheasants, and allot of other birds.
Inside Ancient Egypt
At 11:00 am we arrived at the exhibit. Inside Ancient Egypt was inside the Field Museum. Before we started to look around we saw a sign that said “ A lot of the artifacts are not real.” We saw a mummy with a gold face, it was called Mummy with the gilt face. We learned that many people think Egyptians were obsessed with the dead, that is NOT true. We also learned that many years ago robbers stole some of the mummies. Chantel said “EWW! There all shriveled up!” we thought it was neat that the Egyptians preserve the mummies so well. The exhibit didn’t remind me much of
New Glarus , except that there are a lot of things that have been around for awhile.

Waters of the World
We arrived at 10:30. There were lots of fish. When we walked in there were a lot of people, the exhibit must have been very popular. All the fish reminded me of going fishing. Zoe said “Look at all the pretty fish!” We learned that there are some fish in the Great Lakes that are not supposed to live their. Every thing was very exiting!
The Important North American Birds
At the Field Museum Zach & Cody covered the valuable, precious Birds of North America!Cody took most of the pictures I had too do most of the writing.there was one glass box that was full of the extinct North American birds!Cody & I thought that the North American birds were sweet! We learned that the North American birds can & sometimes are rare!

Rock an Roll McDonalds
We arrived at the Rock an Roll McDonalds at 5:37pm. There was allot of really cool things in the Restaurant there was two levels on one level there was a ordering place for food and another for ice cream. You would be able to see the Hard Rock Cafe across the street. You would be able to see the 9 flat screen TV’s. I learned that the food is fantastic there. People love their chicken nuggets and almost everybody had the chicken nuggets. I think that it is cool that it has two levels and had escalators and stairs. Aileen said”This place is so awesome and i never expected it to be this cool and so good. It does not remind me of anything that we have in New Glarus.

The Mummy Exhibit
In the museum we saw the Egypt exhibit. We saw mummies that stared at us. We also saw the tunnels that robbers went trough. I learned about hieroglyphics. I thought that how mummify was very neat. Whitney said that “We were going to throw up. This did not remind me of anything in New Glarus.

Skyline
We saw the Skyline at 9:46am. We saw the all the tall buildings while we were on the bus. Some of the things we learned was like how tall the buildings were, they were tall. Another thing we learned was that they have antennas. Something that I found cool was how many there are and how tall they are. One thing that Aileen said was that “they are all tall, cool, and pippin. This reminds me of the Swiss Church in New Glarus

The Lions of Tsavo
At the Field Museum we saw an exhibit called “The Lions of Tsavo.” There we saw two stuffed lions in a big glass case. I learned that people stopped the building of a railroad because the lions ate 140 of the railroad workers. The lions were killed in 1898. Something that is cool is that the lions of Tsavo ate so many people. What Mrs. Nealis said about it was “I was surprised that they let the lions eat so many people before they did anything about it.” The Field Museum has animals that aren’t real to remember things in history and New Glarus has statues of cows to resemble farm land. I liked “The Lions of Tsavo” exhibit very much.

Activities on the trip
During the trip in the morning and afternoon I took pictures. Also I wrote about what people did on the bus to keep them busy and content. Some people were watching the movie Night at the Museum and talking to their seat buddy:}Their were a lot of people listening to I-pods and music players and playing their electronics!! I learned that they made DSI’s that they can take pictures and pictochat with rainbow color! Something that I thought was really cool was that NOBODY was sleeping not even trying to. Also I thought that when 15 people were pictochatting at once.I also asked people what they thought Vanessa mentioned how cool it was of how much people had electronics. It reminded me of everybody having fun in New Glarus.
Amazon Rising
Amazon Rising tells a story of a changing river and the people who live on the floodplain. We saw a Goliath bird eating spider. We noticed that it can burrow underground. We thought it was cool that it’s leg span is seven inches, this DOES NOT remind us of anything in New Glarus. Guess what! The Goliath bird eating spider barely preys on birds!!-Mike and Kyle
The fish at the Aquarium
There were lots of fish at the aquarium. Here are some names of fish.
This is a Parana.
This is a Hammerhead Shark.
This is a Stingray.
The underground adventure
The first time we came in we shrunk and everyone was only an inch tall and then we entered a room where we were underground. There were spiders, earwigs and their babies, earthworms, and flower bulbs, crayfish, and it was really gross seeing all of the bugs because we were small and they were huge!!
The Trip Home
We got on the bus for the trip home at exactly 6:00pm. The trip home was in a coach bus. On the way home we saw lots of cars and allot of rain. I learned that at 6:30pm people get tires from a long day, that there is allot of traffic in Chicago, on the bus people like to play video games. I think the skyscrapers are really cool. Efrain said “That the trip home was boring" there is nothing to do.” It reminds me that Coach Busses are bigger and better that school Busses.

The 4d Movie
The Trip home
We are on our way home from Chicago. Everyone is tired from walking all round the aquarium and the museum and some people are kind of hyper because they must of had sugar our something at McDonald’s. People are playing their D.S.’s or their PSP’s and and the people who are on the D.S.’s are at picto chat where you can chat with anyone.
The Next Day
After a long day in Chicago, everybody was tired the next day. That day we had a D.A.R.E. roller skating party that we attend around 1.00. Before departing for the roller skating party, we each got to pick a movie that was playing in each of the 3 classrooms. The choices were: Two Brothers, The Incredibles, and The tale of Desperaux.
Inside Ancient Egypt
At about 2:00 we saw the Inside Ancient Egypt exhibit. It is in the museum. In the exhibit we saw a bunch of different mummies, of babies, adults, and children. I learned how they make the body into a mummy. I thought that seeing all of the mummies was really neat. Jeneva said “Wow all of these mummies are really neat.”

Man Eater of Mfuwe
At 2:56 on Thursday, March 7th, in the Field Museum I saw the Man-Eater of Mfuwe. A scary maneless blonde furred lion, was in a glass cage. In 1991 this lion became the largest man eating lion on record. Over six people were victimized. The correct pronunciation is Muh-FU-way. It must have been a female lion, because it was maneless. She was in Africa, in country named Mfuwe. The locals thought the man-eater was a Demon, or a Sorcerer. Syd said “It has yellow eyes an it looks creepy.”
