We arrived at the Pawnee Earth Lodge at 4:01. The building that we were in was the Field Museum. We saw a pyramid or something like that. We learned how they dressed and how they look. Something that we saw cool was their way of living. Aileen said it was cool.

Today we went on a field trip and we went to the Plants of the world in the Field Museum! We got there at 3:02. We saw small and big plants. We learned that there are all different kinds of plants. I Aileen Jones thought that was cool was that there are alot of plants. Alex N. thought was cool is that there were alot of beans that people haven’t seen before. The thing that reminded me of New Glarus is that there are bean at New Glarus.

We saw this turtle at 11:10am. This was in the Local Waters. In the tank we saw some fish and the turtle. I learned that he gets shaved once a month and he weights 100lbs. He does not move a lot. The turtle has a fish lure in his mouth. Bailey said,”That turtle was cool.”
We arrived at the Field Museum around 1:20, and our first stop was the Ancient Americas. We saw mammoth tusks, and many ancient items. Most of the ancient Mayans and Incas items were very unique. Maddie quotes “ The pottery is very cool and detailed!” This reminded us of school when we saw and read about, things that Mr. Briggs taught us in Social Studies.

Thursday we went on a field trip and we went to the Field Museum. Saw a lot of things but there was a cool thing when we walked in the door,SUE (A dinosaur).We saw the exhibit at 1:22 pm.It was in the Field Museum.We saw Sue and it head upstairs. I learned that Sue is really big, It has a fake head on its body, and it is 13 ft long. I Aileen Jones thought that it was really big and I was surprised how many bones it had. Maya said,”Wow that is really big”. It really didn’t remind me of anything at New Glarus!!

we arrived at the field museum at 1:00. the cool things i saw at the dinosaur exhibit was a edaphosaurids it had a long pointy back. another thing that i thought was cool was the ophiacodonfied and scientist think there meat eaters because they have sharp teeth. the coolest thing i saw at the dinosaur exhibit was the sauropod because it was the largest living thing to walk on earth. the neatest thing i saw there was the sauropod because it as the biggest thing to walk on earth.
Today on our Chicago trip, we saw a train. It goes around every half-hour and we got a picture of it. This is the second train we saw that day, and we just saw a third train, too. So far we are enjoying the bus ride and we will soon be arriving at our first stop!

Ian was the first to win the scavenger hunt. the hardest thing to find was a person walking a dog (they were by a building)
At 9:15 we passed Medieval Times. At
Medieval Times they fight with different weapons and theirs knights and kings,queens and a wizard it was cool. I went there once. They serve chicken, soup and potatoes and no utensils.
we have an electronic thing that tells them that we are this bus and they gave us the right amount of money for us to get on the highway but other cars don,t have that have to pay in coins and stop.

We drove under the oasis on our Chicago trip. An oasis is a bridge with some businesses on top. One of the businesses on top was Auntie Annies pretzel shop.

Well we were on the long trip to Chicago, there were many things to look at. We saw a Chrysler Plant, that was huge! The best part was looking at the huge plant, pipes, cars, and such. The most interesting feature was the huge garage where they made cars.

On the bus people bring lots of games.Some of the games are DS`s like Super Mario. other things people are doing are funpackets, Ipods,books,Mp3 players, magazines ,PSPs, and cameras.

we arrived to see the bus at 6:15. the bus left at 6:30. we saw a bus that had bathrooms. the seats were confortable. there were tv’s. maddie says “the seats are small.” this bus reminds me of nothing in new glarus.
the bus is a automatic, it has a 10 cylinders it has a 150 gallon tank. it has air conditioning. it has a GPS and it holds 24 people. it has a radio to talk to the headquarters in it.

7:00 am-
we are leaving for our trip to Chicago, most of us got up around 5:30 so we could be on the bus by 6:30. we were surprised that there was a big bus and a small bus.
it was really easy for Maddie to wake up in the morning. Codys’ mom woke him up at 5:00. Noelle was angry be cause she got up too early.
it is really foggy today.

at 1:15 we saw the Devyn exhibit. We saw it at the school. we saw a talking, moving statue of Devyn. we learned that Devyn is a blonde and like to the color yellow. the statue can follow you with its eyes and says “I like yellow”. we thought it was neat that she could follow you and talk. Brandi said “she is creepy”. it reminded us of the Devyn we have in New Glarus.
at 11:40 we saw the Bridget exhibit. it was in the school. there was a statue of Bridget. we learned that Bridget is blonde and wears Chicago shirts. we thought it was really neat that she was wearing a shirt about Chicago when we are going there tomorrow. Mike said “wow, its a girl”. this reminded us of the Bridget that we have in New Glarus. -by Reagan
at 10:45 we saw the Ben Exhibit. it was in the school building. a statue of ben was in the museum, when we pressed a button it would say “BOOM-BOOM FIREPOWER!”. We learned that ben like funny movies, that he likes old navy and that he had red hair. we thought it was neat that the statue could move. Jordyn said “boy he sure is strange” this reminded us of our very own ben, except that ben is not a statue. or is he?
